Boeing, Atmos, Tesla: What to Watch When the Stock Market Opens Today


Here’s what we’re watching ahead of the opening bell on Monday.

U.S. stock futures are down premarket, as rising Treasury yields have some investors reconsidering stocks’ high valuations. Futures for the S&P 500 are down 0.7%, while those on the Dow are 0.5% lower. Read our full market wrap here.

What’s Coming Up

On the earnings front, there are full-year numbers due from Berkshire Hathaway and Discovery this morning. After market, reports are due from online insurance marketplace EverQuote and executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles .

—Fresh data on the hot housing market is out today with the monthly update to the Case-Shiller Home Price index due at 9 a.m. ET. National house prices were up 9.5% in the year to the end of January. 

Market Movers to Watch

— Boeing is down 3.9% premarket Monday following an engine failure on one of its 777 jets over the weekend. The company recommended airlines ground some of the jets Sunday to carry out inspections.
